Functional Medicine involves an all-systems, in-depth approach to discovering the root cause of your health ailment. At Wolfe Functional Medicine, we perform an extensive intake and history exploration with our patients and examine your entire health footprint from the time you were born! Functional Medicine practitioners have access to specialized testing that is not utilized in the conventional western medicine world and derive insights that may be missed by many traditional medicine providers. Specialized testing is often gives us answers to “why” you don’t feel well. Many of our patients come to us after having undergone several tests that have come back “normal” and know that something is wrong, they just haven’t been able to find out what the problem is!! Once we are able to determine what the source of our patient’s health problem, a custome-tailored treatment plan is formulated for each patient. At Wolfe Functional Medicine, we also assist patients interested in performing at their peak via specialized programs to optimize your health, increase energy, strengthen your immune system, and improve your quality of life. If you’re suffering from a lack of energy, low ambition, sleeplessness, stress-related symptoms, difficulty losing weight, or the like, then a custom functional medicine program could be for you. For the avid athlete, custom programs are available to enhance performance, increase stamina, and recover more quickly so you can realize your full athletic potential.
We offer a time-tested process for engaging with Dr. Wolfe for Functional Medicine treatment. This allows us to engage with each patient every step of the way to ensure that your questions are answered, that you confident about your treatment plan, and that you can get on the road to better health quickly and smoothly.
Each consultation begins with a thorough intake process to provide Dr. Wolfe with the information she needs to begin creating your health profile and to ensure that she has a strong understanding of your health and medical history and lifestyle background to be able to create a comprehensive, fine-tuned treatment plan.
We ask that you bring your completed Functional Medicine Health History Form with you to your first visit, along with any relevant labs or medical records. We also ask that you bring the bottles of any supplements or medications that you are currently taking.
Your first visit with Dr. Wolfe will be for your initial consultation. Expect to spend 1-1/2 to 2 hours at the office for your initial visit, including check-out time. You will spend 1-1 ½ hours face-to face time with Dr. Wolfe. The consult fee includes time invested before and after your visit for Dr. Wolfe to review any past lab work and all paperwork and intake forms. Follow-up visits usually last ½ hour to 1 hour depending on complexity and time to review lab work.
Examination, Report of Findings and Treatment Plan
This will take place on the second visit. Once Dr. Wolfe has completed your exam and reviewed any necessary tests or bloodwork, she will develop a treatment plan that will likely include some or all of the following:
- Diet and Nutritional Recommendations
- Lifestyle changes
- Detoxification and/or Chelation
- Follow-up Schedule
Self Maintenance and Peak Performance Programs
Once you have reached your health goals we want to make sure you maintain optimal health! Dr. Wolfe will devise a plan exclusive to you including diet, exercise, and supplementation to help keep you performing at your peak.
- Initial Consultation/Interview: 1-2 hours
( * Cancer and Lyme patients make take up to 2 hours )
- Examination, Report of Findings and Treatment Plan: 1- 1.5 hours
- Follow up appointments: 30 minutes- 1 hour
- Lab Reviews/Interpretations: 30 minutes- 1 hour

Functional Medicine consultation services may or may not be covered by your insurance plan. Please check with your insurance prior to your visit. Our office does not bill your insurance directly but we will give you a receipt for services, which you may submit for reimbursement. We are not a participating provider in Medicaid or Medicare.
Dr. Wolfe does not bill insurance. Payment is expected at time of service. There will be a $150.00 cancellation fee for no-shows. Please note our business days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There will be a $15o cancellation fee for canceled appointments or appointments that need to be rescheduled with less than 72 hours notice, 3 business days of your original appointment time.
*Please Note: Dr. Wolfe works as a Functional Medicine Consultant in conjunction with your current healthcare team and is not considered a replacement for your primary care physician. She requires all new patients to have a primary care physician to cover emergencies and routine care and screening. Functional Medicine consultation services may or may not be covered by your insurance plan. Please check with your insurance prior to your visit. Our office does not bill your insurance directly but we will give you a receipt for services, which you may submit for reimbursement. We are not a participating provider in Medicaid or Medicare.
